How to take care of your own gears

Hello 74 divers! How are you all doing this Saturday?
Today’s blog will be quick and short, but it will be very informative for you, haha. I today would like you to talk about taking care of your own diving gears. Don’t you just put them away without doing any cleaning after diving? Well, you know how much money you have spent on your gears. They are very expensive. Do you want them to last for a long time? then you have to take good care of them after each diving.
There are so many things you can do to clean your gears, and you can also purchase some cleaning products such as a shampoo for a wetsuit. But I assume most of seven seas divers are not a professional divers. They are just recreational divers, and they don’t want to spend extra money and time, haha. So here is one big suggestion that you can do so easily to give good cleaning to your own lovely gears. Just simply soak your gears into warm water. By soaking them in the water, most of salt water could be washed out. Also if there are some salt crystal in your gears, they will melt away.
For instant, I soak my diving computer in warm water over night after each diving. Then next day, I take it out of water and dry them out for good period of time. In this way, I can make sure there are no salt left outside and inside of the diving computer. I also do the same thing to other gears even though I washed them with freshwater right after diving. This method doesn’t really cost you any, so please do so if you want your own diving gears to last long.
